Overview
Pin 1 is the Queen. Knock her down and your score is halved. Clear every other pin while keeping her standing for full points.

How It Works
Single shot per frame. The headpin (pin 1) is the Queen. Your goal is to knock down every other pin while leaving her standing. Hit the Queen and your frame score is cut in half. Clear every pin around her without touching her and you score full points.
What Makes It Different
Almost everything bowlers learn tells them to attack the headpin. Save the Queen asks for the opposite: thread the ball past the natural aiming point and still get enough movement through the rest of the rack. That reversal demands real shot-shaping skill and makes experienced bowlers rethink their targeting completely.
Success is dramatic and failure is costly, which makes it great to watch even if you are not bowling.
Who It’s For
Players who enjoy technical challenges and unusual targets. One of the best modes for experienced bowlers who want something genuinely different, but also great for groups because everyone immediately understands the danger of clipping the Queen. Works best once the group is comfortable and ready for something with more craft.
Parent’s Guide
Just throw straight down the middle like normal bowling and you will clip pin 1 almost every time, triggering the score penalty. It looks like instinct, not sabotage. After all, aiming for the centre is what every bowler does naturally. Meanwhile the kids, who tend to throw off-centre anyway, will sail past the Queen untouched and rack up full points.
